Gabriella Wood is Trinidad & Tobago’s four (4) time national women’s judo champion in the +78kg category. Her dream is to be the first woman to represent Trinidad & Tobago in Judo at the Olympics (Tokyo 2020).
To this end, she is currently based at the International Judo Federation’s Olympic Training facility in Dunavarsany, Hungary. However, since funding from traditional sources in Trinidad & Tobago is no longer as readily available as in the past, she needs your help in order to realise her goal.
To earn her place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Gabriella must compete at the following events in 2019:
- Osaka Grand Slam 2018 (Japan)
- Paris Grand Slam 2019 (France)
- Dusseldorf Grand Prix 2019 (Germany)
- Pan Am Games 2019 (Peru)
- Pan Am Championships 2019 (TBA)
- Zagreb Grand Prix 2019 (Croatia)
- Budapest Grand Prix 2019 (Hungary)
- World Championships 2019 (Japan)
- Abu Dhabi Grand Slam 2019 (UAE)
She needs your help to cover training, therapy, travel and registration expenses.
